Sofia Guzzo is a half-Italian, half-Russian artist, photographer and writer who has been living and working in Milan since 2022. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Photography (New Media Art) at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. She graduated from the Moscow Institute of Journalism and Creative Writing, studied Art Theory at the Surikov Art Institute, and Photography at the Rodchenko Art School in Moscow.
Her work explores the theme of informational and physical overconsumption and its impact on the state of mind, the environment and the photographic medium itself. Sofia has participated in group exhibitions in Milan, Tbilisi, and Moscow.
She has collaborated with the Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow (MAMM), The Art Newspaper Russia, Architectural Digest, Winzavod Contemporary Art Center, ArtVisioner, Serene Gallery, The Art Exchange and others as a writer, art-manager, curator.
